On 3 Feb 1944 on return from bomber escort mission, P47D #42-75450 low on fuel made wheels up landing in a open field near Calthorpe, Norfolk. RTD. Landing gear was damaged on takeoff for an operational mission on 3 Mar 1944 in P-47D #42-76088 and was forced to make a wheels up landing. RTD.
