Tyrrhenian Sea off Anzio Beach, Italy 19 February 1944 On February 19, 1944 he was on the crew of the North American B-25C Mitchell medium bomber #41-30551 "Pink Lady" based out of Foggia, Italy. It was reported that they were shot down while bombing enemy troops at Anzio and crashed into the Tyrrhenian Sea. There were no survivors.
