Nov 13 1943 on target towing mission, given orders to abandon the Lysander III AX358 when after 35 minutes it was discovered both the right bomb rack and the right landing gear were missing. Ac was flown to the coast and crashed after both of the crew members had safely baled out.



Served as commanding officer of the 2nd Gunnery and Tow Target Flight from November 1944-8 April 1945.
