Served in Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe campaigns. Was one of the few survivors of a B17 crash and explosion on January 10, 1944, where their bomber crashed off the end of the runway at Debach and exploded. We (Dad and I) visited the crash site a few years ago, and talked with neighbors who remembered the crash.
Awards: AM (OLC), GC, EAME, American campaign, WWII Victory.
