Arnwald Warren Anderson enlisted into the service on August 14, 1942 at Des Moines, Iowa. He served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps, completing 35 combat missions as a B-17 tail gunner in the 336th Bomb Squadron of the 95th Bomb Group. He was honorably discharged on October 22, 1945, from Sheppard Field in Texas, at the rank of Staff Sergeant. He died March 17, 2007 in Spencer, Iowa.
