31 bombing missions, 4 gas hauls for Patton, Battle of the Bulge. Going overseas from Goose Bay, we had ice on the ailerones and went into a spin at 13,500. Pulled out at 3500. The ice finally broke with temp change. We were called back to Goose Bay. Two planes went down that night, we assume the same conditions.
