These attacks were aimed at disrupting the road network behind the enemy lines, hindering his mobility and re-supply capability. Results were generally good, although the lead (2 runs) and high groups attacked secondary targets in the same area as their assigned primary targets, about three miles SE of Beaumont-le-Roger.
