From Nashville, TN, and enlisting there on 11 December 1942, Lt. Albert F. Benneyworth first served with the 344th AFBU at Punta Gorda, FL. On 28 March 1945 he joined the 370th Fighter Squadron, ending his combat tour of duty in September 1945 having flown eight missions with the 359th Fighter Group.
