"This Republic P-47 Thunderbolt taxies along the snow-covered strip after returning from a mission over Germany. A crew chief on the wing of the plane assists the pilot by directing him along the narrow taxi strip. First Tactical Air force pilots have maintained an excellent record in winter flying.
