Italy-This Boeing B-17 received a direct hit by flak over Debreczen railyards, Hungary, on 21 Sept 44. The pilot, 2nd Lt. Guy M. Miller, of Lakeside, Calif., and co-pilot 2nd Lt. Thomas M. Kybovich, West Palm Beach. Fla., were able to bring her back to base. NARA Ref 342-FH-3A22768-55219AC.
