43-25303
Thunderbolt P-47D #43-25303 was last sighted over the Mainbullau airfield and crashed in the Darmstadt area, according to Mc Kenny; between Dudenhofen and Jügesheim, Germany, according to German Report J-2065. It seems more logical to estimate the crash place as nearer to Jügesheim than Dudenhofen, as the former is about 50km NW of Mainbullau and just 20km NE of Darmstadt. Missing Air Crew Report – MACR 8689.
