Having landed at Beyreuth/R-26, pilots going through shutdown procedure, the following C-47 [43-15350 'Big Dog'] landed and lost control, ground looping into the port engine and cockpit of #502, ejecting the pilot who subsequently died from his wounds. Capt Harry J Bruce Killed in Action (KIA). 24-Apr-45.
