B-24H-FO 42-94811 'Tommy Thumper II' , 34th BG. Project Number 92537, 1944. Aircraft flew 41 missions from 23 May 1944 to 24 August 1944 with the 4th Bomb Squadron of the 34th Bomb Group out of Mendlesham. After the 34th BG transitioned to B-17s, the aircraft was transferred to the 790th Bomb Squadron of the 467th Bomb Group at Rackheath.



On 22 January 1945, the aircraft crashed on a training flight due to loss of engine power.

Pilot John T McArthur Jr. and all nine crew members died.
