Markings & paint scheme: The aircraft was originally assigned to the 702nd Bomb Squadron, 445th Bomb Group in Tibenham, England. While with the 445th is was named "Miss Carriage." After transfer to the 93rd BG it was renamed "Ole King Cole." Given the short period between transfer from the 445th & the loss of the aircraft (interned in Switzerland 1/7/44) it probably still carried the original name. The livery was OD & Gray. A white circle with a Black B was on each tail & the top of the right wing. The letter D was on the tail. While with the 445th BG a white outline of an unclad kneeling woman was applied below the cockpit but there was not a name. This nose art was still in place when the aircraft diverted to Dubendorf.
