Object Number - UPL 20157 - B24 42-52234 Corky, with the Nortridge crew (crew 25)
Manufactured at Ford's Willow Run plant. It carried a Sperry bombsight, rather than the Norden. It was delivered to the USAAF on 29 October 1943, then taken to the Birmingham, Alabama, Modification Center. It arrived at Hamilton Field, San Francisco, CA, 25 November, 1943, and was issued to Crew 25, the Nortridge Crew, on 18 December. On Sunday, 30 January 1944, after travelling around most of the Atlantic Ocean, Corky and her crew arrived at Station 144, Old Buckenham.
