B-24J "Patsy Ann" - Serial 42-100046 of 389th Bomb Group/565th Bomb Squadron crashed shortly after take-off on the 10 February 1944 mission to the Gilze-Rijen airfield in the Netherlands. The weather was very cold and misty and it is presumed that icing was the cause of the crash, which happened near Timerham, north of the 389th BG base at Hethel. All 10 men on board were killed.
