Object Number - FRE 7513 - Two ground crewmen of the 387th Bomb Group with the nose art of a B-26 Marauder (serial number 41-35062) nicknamed "Lucky Lady (No Pokes)".

Assigned to the 387th Bomb Group / 556th Bomb Squadron. First sortie 21 April 1944. On taking off from Chipping Ongar with Pilot Lt Jerald Fisher on 21 May 1944, it experienced complete instrument failure and made an emergency landing on cross runway. It swerved at the end of the runway, hitting with its wingtip a 558th Squadron plane that was waiting its turn to take-off (B-26 # 42-95930 - KX-D). 41-35062 slid into trees at the end of the runway. No injuries. Plane was salvaged for parts.
