Delivered Denver 19/10/43; Gr Island 31/10/43; Assigned 407BS/92BG (PY- ] Podington 1/12/43. While parked at Little Staughton on 1 January 1944, was hit by 42-40002 of 616BS/401BG which losing brake hydraulic pressure while taxiing, ground looped and hit 42-37928. On board the latter that day : Pilot Clyde A. Lewis, Co-Pilot Mitchell K. Woods, Navigator William M. Eaton, Radio Operator Clarence R. Miner and passenger Donald W. Michael, who all returned to duty. Salvaged 6 January 1944.
