Delivered Cheyenne 27/9/43; Gr Island 9/10/43; Assigned 551BS/385BG [HR-P] Gt Ashfield 21/10/43; non op trip to pick up crew of 42-97367 which force landed the previous day at RAF Woodbridge, with Capt Larry Alexander, Co-pilot: A. Chealander, Navigator: H. Peltzer, Radio Operator: Pvt L. Beach, Flight engineer/top turret gunner: W. Chain, plus two pass.: Capt H. Montford, Pfc J. Brust, (7 Returned to Duty); left u/c collapsed and two enginges hit runway at this ELG, Salvaged 19/7/44.
