I am the grandson of Jack S Bowen. He was on "Lightning Strikes" with Irwin. I have Jack's records as written by Army Air Corps after the war. Mission report document # 6-3661,AF Lists Irwin as having been killed on "Lightning Strikes" on 21st of Feb 1944 over the town of munster before reaching the target of Gutersloh.
