Assigned to 653BS, 25BG, 8AF USAAF. Flew 20 P-38 missions from Iceland. Flew 57 Mosquito missions from England. Shot down by friendly fire, from 9th AF P-47, mistaken for enemy fighter whilst flying Mosquito NS711 On 24 March 1945. Killed in Action (KIA). MACR 13437.



He and 1st Lt James B Richmond of the 654th Squadron, were on a first-of-its-type mission in a PRXVI mosquito that carried special radar navigation equipment.
