Planning to study architecture at War's end, Lt. Thomas G. Bur enlisted in his hometown of Green Bay, WI, on 3 August 1942. Assigned to the 369th Fighter Squadron, 359th Fighter Group, on 11 July 1944, he flew 264:30 combat hours before his transfer on 11 May 1945. Aircraft included P-51D IV-N 44-13390 "Big Noise From Winnetka."
