Taxi accident (class 4): 2 June 1944 @ 1000 hrs (Pilot error) at RAF Atcham

While taxiing on a summerfield taxi strip, the pilot failed to see a parked aircraft - P-47D-6-RE 42-74659. Aircraft propeller chewed the tail off the parked aircraft.
Nearby mechanics tried to signal the pilot to stop, but he misunderstood their signals.
