Written off after crash landing due to engine troubles at Parkhold Farm near Gosfield, Essex on 11 July 1944. Pilot Lt. Walter L. Pentilla was killed.

While flying in a routine formation training flight one engine cut out at 1000 feet and the plane crash landed at Parkhold Farm near Gosfield, Essex. The pilot died while being taken to the hospital.
