This aircraft was originally assigned to 133 Squadron RAF but transferred to 8th Air Force, 4th Fighter Group, 336th Fighter Squadron on 22-August-1942. The aircraft was flown by Capt Marion E. Jackson in escort of American bombers attacking the German airfield of Porjeau at Morlaix, France. The aircraft was listed MIA over the Brest Peninsula, but Capt Marion was able to abandon it and was captured as a POW.
