B-26C-15-MA 41-34971 "Pay Off" was assigned to 386BG/554BS at Boxted, UK. The aircraft was attacked by an enemy fighter as well as flak on 22-Aug-43 while on a mission to bomb the German airfield of Beaumont Le Roger, France. The fighter attack set the right engine on fire and the aircraft subequently crashed at Brionne, France. 2KIA 2POW 2EVD.

Lee Cunningham 25-May-2015. Added Description based on "Losses of the 8th & 9th Air Forces", Stan Bishop & John A. Hey MBE. However, Bishop & Hey have this loss listed as 2KIA 4 POW. MACR 375 has CP and RO/Gunner as RTD. A check of the National Archives Records Administration (NARA) Escape & Evasion Reports has these two as evadees.
