The American Air Museum’s archive is a collaborative project, we have worked hard to ensure it is accessible for anyone who wants to use it.
We want to give everyone a voice, as with your help we can become the best online resource on the US Army Air Forces in Britain and Europe.
We expect all contributors to the archive to behave in line with these aims.
Moderation
Contributions to the American Air Museum’s archive are not moderated and are published instantly.
Our team keep a close eye on the archive, but we look to contributors to help us regulate its content.
Offensive content
If you spot content on the site that you think will be offensive to others, or see contributors consistently acting in ways that are not appropriate, then get in touch.
Contact usBe considerate
Encourage the involvement of different contributors. Bear in mind that they may have different interests, expertise or be new to a subject.
Try not to overwrite or delete other’s contributions as far as possible unless you are correcting typos and spelling errors.
Share and attribute
Do not plagiarise the work of other people, or copy and paste content from other resources, unless you have permission from the author to do so.
Write up your sources with as much detail as possible, explaining how you know the information you’ve added.

Try to put information into the correct fields, forms or record types as far as possible, so others know where to find it.
Make relevant and interesting connections between records.
Make your contributions easy to read, by using paragraph breaks and sentence case. Try to explain acronyms and technical terms, so it's clear to other’s what you are referring to.
