My father was a tailgunner at Rattlesden, 44th bomb group, 409th squadron. His plane was the Barbara Jane.    He flew more than 34 missions.  Like many, he didn't talk much about his experiences.  Only later in life did he open up a bit.  I am watching Masters of the Air, and wish so much he was here to watch with me.
