Bio

I teach in a suburban school in Columbia, S.C. Our school is located near Ft. Jackson so many of our students come from military families. I teach U.S. History and Digital Media Production to both sophomores and juniors. This is my 27th year teaching and my 21st year at Richland Northeast (my current school). Over the past 15 years of my teaching I have immersed myself into the digital world and WEB 2.0 technology. My students have the opportunity to write and produce a myriad of digital projects. The veterans oral history project I started in 2002 is our most successful and most meaningful. Students interview veterans from the WWII generation through the current generation of men and women serving around the world and use their digital media production skills to create short documentaries based on the interviews.
