Bio

I live in San Francisco, Calif. My father, Donald L. Hayes was a World War II veteran. He was a tail gunner in the 8th Air Force, 91st Bomb Group, 401 Bomb Squadron. The name of his plane was "Bomb Boogie" and he flew 11 missions in 1943 before being shot down over France in September 1943. He spent the remainder of the war as a POW in Nazi Germany in Stalag 17B. He was honorably discharged in 1945.
