Bio

Keylon W. Clarke, my father, was first pilot of a B-17 based at Glatton, England. He was shot down on September 28, 1944 on a mission to Magdeburg. Along with his crew, he was taken POW. He and his bombardier were sent to Stalag Luft I in Barth. The POW camp was liberated by the advancing Russian army. He has deposited his war memoirs with the Library of Congress Veterans History site.
