Bio

My father, Lt. Robert Kern Potter commanded a Fort in the 351st BG out of Polebrook. He and his crew arrived in December of 1944. Together they flew 33 missions. Like most he piloted a number of different Forts until he had a regular one assigned, a B-17G , which he named "Portland Rose" as a tribute to his home town. He also flew an RB26 recon plane in Korea beginning in March of 1952.
