Activated on 14 Mar 1944 along with 14 other Quartermaster Truck Companies at Kelly Field, TX. On 14 Apr 1944, left for Camp Shanks, NY and on 22 Apr 1944, embarked on the ship HMT NY 519 for Liverpool, England. On 5 Jun 1944, the company transported ammunition and supplies to the Troop Carrier airplanes assigned to the upcoming operation. On D-Day, 6 Jun 1944, the truck company transported Airborne Infantry, supplies and ammunition. Two resupply missions to the Far Shore were made prior to relocation to air fields in France in Feb 1945. The first mission, 26 Dec 1944 to 6 Jan 1945, was to transport priority materials from Station 486 (Greenham Commons) to Air Strip 50 (Orleans, France). The convoy received orders while at Orleans, to report to Omaha Beach and pick up 55 tons of ammunition to be returned to England. The second resupply mission, from 17 Jan to 11 Feb 1945, was a 64-vehicle convoy involving 7 QM Truck Companies of the IX Troop Carrier Service Wing (Prov). The convoy took supplies (engines, oil, tentage) to the continent, for delivery to multiple air strips in France. After deliveries were completed, the convoy headed for Air Strip B-56 (Brussels, Belgium) to pick up glider repairables. Returning to France, the convoy unloaded repairables and reloaded with airplane engines consigned to Burtonwood, England for repair. Shortly after the convoy returned to England, the unit received a permanent change of station, to Air Strip A-80 (Mourmelon-le-Grande, France). Detachment "A" was assigned to Air Strip A-55 (Melun, France). After 1 year and 42 days, the truck company was disbanded, effective 25 Apr 1945.
