How to register on the website
It is free to register as a user on our site. You don’t have to sign up to browse or search the site, but you will see more information if you do.
We ask you to register before you edit the website because the site is a collective project and it important that other users know who has made edits so that they can judge the source of the information.
Click the ‘Register’ button found at the top right of each page and complete the brief online form.
If you are going to contribute to the site as a group, you can create an account for your entire group or society to use collectively, rather than every member having a separate log-in. You could choose a username which is simply the name of your group, e.g. ‘Duxford History Society’.
We recommend that schools and Scout and Guide groups create a username which is simply the name of the school or group e.g. ‘Home Farm Year 5’.
When you click on the green ‘Register’ button, a message will be sent to the email address you have provided.
Open this email and click on the link provided.
This sends you back to the AAM website and prompts you to create a secure password. Once that’s done, you’re logged into the site.
Please add some basic information to your profile. This helps people know that they can trust the information you add to the site.
Once you're logged in as a registered user, you can view the Activity of other contributors to the website.
