Flew mission on D-Day - dropped bombs by radar. participated in 2000 plane raid on Berlin. As lead Bombardier bombed at low altitude in support of Patton in breakthrough at St. Lo.
Entered service at San Antonio, TX Aug 1942. Joined 392nd BG 25 May 1944. Rank at end of WW II was Capt. Pilots-Levell, Caruso.
DFC w/ 2 oak leaf clstrs; Air Medal w/3 Oak Leaf Cluster's, ETO Ribbon w/6 bronze stars, Pres Unit Citation
