Henry L Bargfrede
Military ROLL OF HONOURHenry Bargfrede was tail gunner on B-17 which was set on fire by enemy anti-aircraft on its return from Emden, Germany on 11 December 1943. Eight men parachuted from the aircraft including Bargfrede.
Two became Prisoner of War (POW), three bodies were washed ashore off the coast of Holland in the North Sea, and three bodies were never recovered. Bargfrede's body washed up on 14 June 1944.
