Technical Sergeant Gla E. Owen was born March 19, 1920. His next of kin were his wife, Muriel Owen, his sisters, Mrs. Norman Mabe and Lovala Owen, and his brother, Francis Owen. He was from Fort Dodge, Iowa.

On January 29, 1944, he was serving as a Gunner aboard “Piccadilly Queen,” B-17 tail #42-30251, of the 385th Bomb Group, 549th Bomb Squadron, when it went down over Kaiserslautern, Germany.

He is buried in the US Military Cemetery at Neuville-en-Condroz, Belgium.
