"Danny, Can you believe the sunshine when this photo was taken? The no. on the fuselage of the Piper Cub, 6 7/8. That’s my number – my hat size. Jim Koln and I were talking about a suitable inscription, so that was my suggestion & is also somewhat of a size comparison with the P-38.”
