Staff Sergeant George W Henderson, a tail gunner of the 303rd Bomb Group, in position inside a B-17 Flying Fortress. [Censor no.] Printed caption on reverse: 'Having flown on 20 missions against the enemy S/Sgt. (Gunner) George W. Henderson tells his parents at Columbus, Kansas, "You people back home keep buying 'em and we'll keep 'em flying." Here seen looking out of the tail window of his bomber, Henderson has been awarded the Air Medal and oak leaf clusters. He is 22 and was formerly a service station operator. Not to be published before 20th April 1943.'
