Frank R Hollopeter
MilitaryI am his son.
Frank R Hollopeter and Frank R Holt are the same person. Along with two of his brothers (although not the two who also served with the 8th Air Force in England, Wayne and Earl), he changed his last name from Hollopeter to Holt in 1963. After WWII, he earned a degree in engineering at Purdue University and went to work in the aerospace industry. His career with Northrop eventually took him to the Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston, where he helped put men on the moon, participating in the U.S. space program from Gemini through the Shuttle. He also remained in the Air Force Reserve, eventually achieving the rank of Lt. Colonel. He died in 1998.
