Shot down on Mission 115 14 October 1943 in B-17 #422951 Over Schweinfurt on his 13th mission in 'The Iron Maiden. ' Prisoner of War (POW). Moved to Stalag 17B Krems Austria where he was confined from 12-95-43 till 04-03-45. On a forced march from Krems to Braunau Austria he was liberated by the 13th Armored Div. on 05-03-45. MSergeant Peacock retired from active duty March 31, 1963.
