MilitaryPrisoner of War (POW) Crashed at Sarstedt on 11/26/44 in B-24 'Dorty Treek' #44-10485. He later described the experience of being captured. 'People were coming at me from both directions and I had no way of escaping....then they commenced working me over and I was knocked out. When I came to the first thing I saw was a pair of high black boots and saw a German officer with a pistol in his hand keeping the civilians away.'
