B-24H #41-29468 'Peg O' My Heart'.

Lt Richter jumped at 7000 feet and landed a few kilometers Southeast of Nogent-le-Rotrou, Eure-et-Loir Department, France. Helped and sheltered by the French underground, he was guided to Paris and from there to Pau, in the South of France. Led to the French-Spanish border, he crossed into Spain, ultimately reaching Gibraltar. He was flown back from there to England where he landed on 17 August 1944.
