Edward H Mims
MilitaryShot down 11 April 1944 in B-24 #42109817 'Pollyanna. ' Prisoner of War (POW) Ed Mims and his crew were shot down on 11 Apr 44 and only Ed and 4 others survived. They were all captured. Ed had bad burns about the face and hands from engine 3 explosion. He received medical treatment in Frankfurt and later joined other crew members in Stalag 17b, Krems Austria,where they were Prisoner of War (POW)'s till 3 May 1945.
