Dad was asked to pack an item that wouldn't fit in the box supplied. Ordered to make it fit after trying, a Sergeant. went away and my father remade the box as necessary. Sergeant remarked upon return, 'see I told yu it would fit'. Found letter to father from an english family (dated 1946) after father's death. No idea of connection
