Emseloh, Germany | 2 November 1944 | Plane s/n 43-37782, 750th Squadron, named "Lady Margaret / Lady Katherine," and piloted by Lt William J. Murdock, was hit by 20 mm shells and lost engine #3 which immediately burst into flames. The fire quickly spread to the radio room and in seconds the plane exploded. Six crew members survived and three were killed. |
