Military

Arrived October 1942. He was assigned with the 39th Service Group on 13 September 1943. He became Domb Dump Officer on 01 July 1943. He left England on 31 Decemeber 1945. He was Bomb Disposal Officer and other tasks involved with ordnance and operation of the bomb dump near Galsey Woods. He flew 7 missions to help advise why some bombs failed to release in the bomb bay. He served in the USAF for 30 years, including tours in Korea and Vietnam.



Following his retirement from the service he settled in England at Lakenheath, Suffolk where in 1992 he was awarded a Silver Star for actions 48 years earlier in 1944.
