Served with the 353rd Fighter Group based at Raydon, Suffolk from 29 October 1944. On 28 February 1945, Kammer in his P-51 Mustang (serial number 44-72096) nicknamed "Baltimore Belle" destroyed a Heinkel He 111 on the ground at Rohrensee airfiled during a fighter escort mission to Kassel.
