He was a family man. Thelma was the love of his life and his girls were his world.
He joined up with his brothers Laverne Warner (Navy - Pacific), Robert (Bob) Warner (Army Paratrooper - Europe) and his brother in law Harold Davis (Air Force - Europe). He made the decision when Pearl Harbor was attacked and trained for 2 years to become a pilot. He arrived in England on 18th December 1944.
He and his crew flew 29 missions over Germany.
He returned to the US 10th September 1945. Was discharged in Sioux City, Iowa 1st December 1945.
Today his legacy continues with 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
