Dennis T Carlson
MilitaryShot down 4 October 1943 in B-17 #42-3538 'Ten Knights in a Bar Room'. Evaded.
Served with the 332nd BS. Flying Ten Knights in a Bar Room from the 333rd as the crews regular aircraft was U/S.
Carlson and several members of his crew managed to evade capture when they were shot down. They were helped by the French Underground who conveyed them through France across the Pyrenees and into neutral Spain. His death during surgery on 7th June 1989 was reported by his wife Mary.
